We know better health starts with more nutritious foods. When given the chance to eat healthier foods we know that affordability is a factor.
Add Milk! aimed to increase the purchase of healthy fluid milk by low-income consumers participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. Under the program, skim and 1% milk could be purchased at 50% off to encourage low-fat milk as part of a healthy diet, and bring attention to healthier food options for lower income families.
For every dollar of SNAP benefits a participant uses to purchase healthy fluid milk, Add Milk! provides a dollar incentive as a coupon or discount to redeem for additional SNAP items.
