Rosebud Rescue

In December of 2022, several extremely harsh blizzards hit the remote Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Most roads were completely cut off and lives were unfortunately lost. This series of poor conditions contributed to a very difficult time for all.

Buche Foods rose to the occasion, receiving a call from Rosebud Sioux Tribe to help with blankets, heaters, stoves, mitten, gloves and hats. Most importantly, the struggling residents needed food. RF Buche and team said, “What can we do to help?”

The Buche team of volunteers gathered up the requested items from Gregory, Mission, Winner and Martin and rounded them into friends’ trailers, trucks and more. The team started a caravan to Rosebud led by the National Guard plowing the way.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am of our team for stepping up, putting up others ahead of themselves. I really feel like those actions probably saved some lives,” said Buche.
